I graduated from University of the Arts London, where I studied Material and Jewellery Design. London gave me a way to think across material, form and culture. At the same time, I was drawn to Eastern Five Elements, Western chakra systems and the ways different traditions speak about crystal energy.
Near the end of my studies, the pressure of school and creative work became heavy. I was anxious, sleeping badly and emotionally worn down. During that time, a spiritual mentor gave me a piece of white quartz and suggested I hold it when I needed to quiet myself.
I genuinely felt the quartz had a steady presence. For me, its energy helped me settle, slow down and reconnect with myself when my thoughts felt scattered.
That was my lived experience. Someone else may experience or understand the same stone differently.
That moment led me deeper into crystal energy traditions, Five Elements and chakra systems. I came to believe that natural stones can carry their own energy and symbolic resonance, while each person may meet that meaning in their own way.
I have also visited crystal source regions and seen parts of the craft process, from sorting rough stone to cutting, shaping, polishing and finishing. Those encounters made me pay closer attention to colour, texture, inclusions and natural variation. They also shaped the way we speak about materials now: what we know, we share honestly; what is not confirmed, we would rather not guess.
